Adenocarcinoma of lung

  Cell cluster. The cells posses high nucleo cytoplasmic ratios with abnormal chromatin distribution.
• 
  Cells show variation in nuclear size and prominent nucleoli.
• 
  Cluster of cells with moderate cytoplasm, rounded nuclei and prominent nucleoli.
• 
  Groups of moderately pleomorphic glandular cells.
• 
  Group of cells with delicate cytoplasm.
• 
  Flat cohesive fragment o f moderately pleomorphic glandular cells
• 
  Irregular group of moderately pleomorphic glandular cells.

These tumours, defined histologically by the formation of acinar or papillary structures or mucin secretion.

Occur more peripherally within the lung than squamous cell or small cell tumours.
